FAQ

What is RESHET's primary goal?
Our goal is to support Jewish businesses and professionals by providing business networking opportunities and resources.

Who can come to a RESHET event?
Any professional who is looking to network within the Jewish community can attend our events!

I am currently looking for work, can I attend a RESHET event?
Of course, but you might want to email us and ask what types of businesses will be in attendance to make sure it will be worth it for you!  You may also want to check out the events page to see if there are any other events in the area for people who are in transition.  Additionally, we have professionals in our referral program who may be able to help you during this time in your career!

Do I have to be a RESHET member to attend your events?
No!  There are no RESHET "members"!  We do not require any membership dues, and you can attend as little or as many events as you would like!

Why do I have to pay to attend an event?
Although RESHET does not make a profit through organizing events, planning and managing a networking event requires a monetary outlay.  Venue fees, cost of food, website fees, marketing materials, as well as a certain amount of manpower all contribute to a successful event!  (Yes, we have gotten this question a few times!)

I came to an event, but it didn't result in any business!  What happened?
Attending a networking event (RESHET's or otherwise) is only the first step!  Networking and building good business relationships take a lot of work!  RESHET provides you a contact list of all participants from the events you attend.  Please make sure you follow up with a simple email or phone call.  It is appropriate to also ask for LinkedIn or Twitter connections, as well as request meetings to further discuss possible future business relationships with attendees.  Also, you must be willing to provide fellow networking event participants with access to your circle of associates!  Remember, "you get what you give"!  So be proactive about your networking!

Can I pay at the door?
We do allow some participants to pay at the door, however, kindly email us at RESHETjbng@aol.com and let us know that you are coming!  Some of our events feature a structured format, and you are placed into specific groups that can help you network efficiently, so we ask for you to RSVP so we can place you appropriately!  Also, though we recognize that schedules can change, please notify us if you are unable to attend an event so that someone else can take your spot or we can rearrange groups accordingly for everyone's benefit!

How did you find my email address?
RESHET culls email addresses from various places on the internet, including other networking site, Chambers of Commerce sites, yahoo groups, and LinkedIn.  If you do not wish to be notified of RESHET events or activities, just email us at RESHETjbng@aol.com and let us know!

Is all of the food that you serve at your events kosher?
Yes!  We make every attempt to support local Jewish businesses and only buy from kosher establishments.

Can my company sponsor a RESHET event?
Of course!  RESHET sponsorships are very reasonably priced and help us keep our ticket prices low.  Sponsorships can come in the form of offering us a meeting space (as TRiG did at our 8/26/09 event), donating food, or advertising sponsorships (as StopWandering.com has done!)  Please visit our sponsorship page or email us for more information!
